13 Sep How to get the most out of the Wedding Fayres this season . .
On the first of October we will be holding a stand at the I Do wedding exhibition. We went to a fayre at The Derbyshire Hotel, last week where we helped 6 lovely brides find their dream dress!
On top of that we have plenty more coming up. So I’m sure you’ll understand why we’re all wedding fayre crazy at the minute.
We are recommending all our brides go to I Do and have been giving away lots of free tickets. In the spirit here are our top tips to get the most out of your day at the fayre:
Take breaks and take your time! A lot of people go to these events and so it can get overwhelming. Make sure to pace yourself by taking breaks when you need them. A bit of fresh air can go a long way. Every vender there has something to say, you may think that a vender won’t fit your theme but if you give it a chance you may find something you didn’t expect to. Also in the hopes of getting you to remember them, venders may offer little freebees like cake and fizz, so let yourself enjoy being pampered, you deserve it!
Discounts! If you find something you like don’t be afraid to book on the day. Use it as an opportunity to save yourself some money, remember it never hurts to ask. Venders have been known to offer up to 15% for on the day bookings. So if you know you want to book with someone and they have a wedding fair coming up, it could be worthwhile waiting until then to make the booking.
Social media! All venues will have business cards to hand out, but a good way of getting more information about the ones you’re really interested in is to go on to their Facebook page. This will leave you primed and ready to message them the next day. Linking with them on Instagram and Pinterest will also give you more of an insight into their service and give you wedding inspiration, of which you can never get too much! Make sure you follow us at www.facebook.com/houseofoliverbridal to get the inside scoop of all the offers we’ll be sharing.
Go early! Lots of stalls will be giving out goodie bags, but these can go quickly. So if you want to get your hands on lots of free stuff you’ll need to beat the crowd. The things given out will be different at each wedding fair
Be prepared! Everybody there will be at a different place in their wedding planning process, but where ever you are take with you any images or colour samples you may have that shows what you’re looking for. This will give suppliers an idea as to what you’re looking for and so what they can offer you.
Make sure you come and visit us and say hello! – We have something special lined up and the whole team will be there 🙂 We are on Stand 19.
How have your experiences of wedding fairs gone? Want to leave any extra advice for other brides? Leave us a comment, we’d love to hear from you. Happy planning!
