03 Nov Real Wedding – Laura and Mark
The wedding of Laura and Mark
Date: 11 April 2017
Venue: Chaucer Barn in Norfolk- we choose the Barn as it was perfect for our small wedding party of 15. We all travelled from Chesterfield to Norfolk for the two nights we stayed there.
Photographer: my parents! Apart from catering we did everything ourselves.
How did Mark propose?
In a tent in the back garden- I’m very shy with grand gestures!
Why did you choose the wedding dress you did?
Because it was the perfect dress; my mum said it’s a Laura dress! It just fitted perfectly and I felt so comfortable. But most importantly I could imagine myself getting married at the Barn in it- it had a long train that I knew would skim along the wooden floors perfectly, and I loved the lace detail and simplicity of it too.
What was your theme or colour scheme of the wedding?
Our colour scheme was yellow and blue, and we had lots of spring flowers.
What was your highlight of the day?
Spending the three days and two nights with all our guests, sitting together in the evenings drinking in front of the open fires, and cooking bacon sandwiches the morning of the wedding before going to get ready. We also had our two dogs with us which made some very magical photographs. Knowing that we had all our loved ones under one roof, and enjoying themselves was the best bit.
Congratulations Laura and Mark on what looked like a fantastic day full of personal details. Experts in wedding planning now after doing everything yourself, what a massive task but it looks like it pulled off and everything looks amazing. Enjoy married life! Katie, Roxy, Vicky, Jade, Victoria and Jess
Please get in touch if you are one of our brides, grooms or bridesmaids, we’d love to feature your wedding.
